Vodka is the most preferred alcohol to make a mixed drink. This is most likely because it is colorless, has minimal taste and aroma. It is usually very easy to make a lot of vodka mixed drinks as the drink mixed with vodka usually does not smell or taste of alcohol. For some, this minimization of alcohol detection is a plus as mixing, drinking and partying can sometimes be prolonged without experiencing the medicinal taste some other alcohol or liquor can leave in the mouth.
Vodka mixed drink recipes are limited only by the mixer’s imagination as almost any drink can be mixed well with vodka. In fact, any drink you like the taste of can be spiked with alcohol in the form of vodka without sacrificing the taste of the drink. Juice, tea, and even energy drinks are some of the most common ingredients used in vodka mixed drink recipes.
Vodka mixed drink recipes are all about the fun in the mix, fun in the fact that you may detect very little alcohol but you still get the alcohol buzz most people are looking for from their alcoholic beverage. Sans the bad taste in the mouth, the aim of vodka mixed drinks are to mix, drink and party with very little reminder that this is in fact alcohol. Some drinkers turn their noses at the very hint of the smell of alcohol in their drinks. Not often so with smooth tasting vodka mixed drinks which often have very little of the smell and still packs a punch.
